A cosy cottage in the Cotswolds

First Impressions

Who doesn’t love a break to the charming Cotswolds, especially when you escape to a cosy bolthole. Boundary Cottage is just a short drive from the picturesque town of Broadway, and is nestled in the heart of the countryside, with the most outstanding views over the Cotswolds landscape. With nothing but rolling hills, sheep, wildlife and nature as company, it really is picture perfect. When we arrived we couldn’t help but admire and take photos of the view even before we entered the cottage. Inside, this traditional 19th-century Cotswold stone cottage was full of character and original features like the fireplace, and beams that bring a story to each room.

Rooms

The cottage can sleep 4 people across 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom is in the eaves and you are welcomed by a cosy double bed which looks straight out to the uninterrupted views. The second bedroom has two single beds which is perfect if travelling with children. There is also a family bathroom which comes with a walk in shower and bath tub so you can soak away your day. Downstairs is the cosy living and dining area. Here you will find comfy sofas to cuddle up on, board games to play and a fireplace to warm you up in the winter months. The kitchen is through a door and is fully equipped for you to make any meal during your stay so you don’t have to worry about going out in the evenings.

Nearby

Located perfectly between honeypot villages and towns, Boundary cottage is a great base to be able to explore the very best of the Cotswolds. Just a short drive or a lovely walk, is the popular village of Broadway. Here you will find plenty of places to eat and fabulous independent shops to treat yourself to a piece of the Cotswolds. Why not walk up to Broadway Tower for impressive views too. If you are looking for similar towns, make sure you visit Chipping Camden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. For a bigger town, why not spend the day in Stratford-upon-Avon where you can learn about William Shakespeare, sail along the river and wander through the streets.

Overall Impression

I still cant get over the view at Boundary cottage, it really was something else. We loved getting cosy in the living room in the evenings, having morning coffee in the garden opposite and listening to the sheep. We also loved the welcome treats of local delights like the apple juice, ice cream and eggs. They are also dog friendly, which is always a big win for us too. This would be a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the Cotswolds with friends or family as there is plenty of room for 4 people to enjoy this place. We loved staying here in the summer but I can imagine it would also be so beautiful and charming in the autumn and winter months too.
