The year of the staycation is definitely here to stay. But when money is a little tight why not go on an adventure and experience a daycation. We have found the best places to visit across the UK for a daycation. So you can still get that sense of exploring without blowing the budget. From the best shops, places to eat, and things to do, we have even let you know where to stay if you feel like extending your visit. This is part 3 of multiple daycation guides, so check out parts 1 and 2 for more inspiration.

Padstow

The charming seaside town of Padstow is a great place for a daycation as there is plenty to keep you busy. From boutique shops, delicious places to eat, and a beautiful sandy beach to relax on. Why not hire a boat for the day to explore the coastline further, pop onto the ferry to take you to Rock, or hire bikes to discover the Camel Trail

Lyme Regis

If you are wanting the seaside, wonderful places to eat, and amazing shops to spend your money in, then head to Lyme Regis. Walk along the seafront, admire the quirky homes that line the seafront and dip your toes in the sea.

Southwold

Known for its family-owned brewery Adnams, Southwold is a charming seaside town surrounded by beautiful beaches and lush countryside. Situated on the East Suffolk coastline it’s a popular tourist town for many people trying to escape the hustle and bustle of life. This makes it the perfect place to explore and unwind for a day.

Broadway

Broadway is a picturesque town in the heart of the Cotswolds. The main street is lined with only the best shops and places to eat, so you will enjoy browsing the centre. Head up to Broadway Tower for spectacular views across the countryside and even see some deers.

Whitstable

This is by far my favourite place to go in Kent. Not only does it have an abundance of places to eat and shop, but it also has a lovely walkway along the seafront. There are so many beautiful seaside houses and beach huts to admire too. I love nothing more than shopping in all the beautiful interior shops, having cocktails and food in the wonderful vast restaurants on offer, and meandering up and down the back streets to see some incredible seaside houses.

Stockbridge

This pretty town has some amazing shops up and down the high street. Best of all they are all independent too. Just outside of Stockbridge is an estate, which is partnered with Waitrose to provide a delightful farm shop, garden emporium and garden centre. This is a lovely place to visit whether you fancy just a look around or to treat yourself.

Narbeth

Narberth is a gorgeous town in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Multicoloured Edwardian and Georgian buildings line the high street and are filled with charming shops to spend your money in. Keep an eye out for their famous food festival which attracts thousands of people wanting to try some local food and drink.
