For me, going away for a night or two is definitely a hobby, and sometimes an expensive hobby at that. However to get a luxury, stylish getaway doesn’t always need to cost a fortune, there are many hotels now offering amazing service and design that are super affordable for a night away. So if you need to get away, visit the coast or countryside, then our guide below will help you do this without blowing the budget in some of the best budget-friendly hotels.

Mollies Motel

Mollies Motel are the ultimate mix of luxury yet affordable accommodations. They have places in Oxfordshire and Bristol and are looking to expand. The bedrooms have a simply scandic design and feel to them, with wood cladding walls and a vibrant armchair to relax in. Ever wanted to stay in a shipping container? Probably not but wait till you see the lovingly refurbished cabin at Trelan Farm. They have found a wonderful place to dock, on the grounds of a 150-acre beef and sheep farm in Cilcain, North Wales. You’ll find yourself surrounded by lush countryside, endless peace and tranquillity. The interiors have had a modern makeover and are full of stylish features. The living room come bedroom has large dual aspect windows, so it makes for the perfect place to take in the best views with your morning coffee and maybe see a cow or two. There is also a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook up some meals while watching the sunset. For more luxury, then the outdoor bath is calling your name, just lay back and take in the breathtaking views and maybe have a glass or two of fizz.

The Sandy Duck

The Sandy Duck offers its guest individually designed bedrooms that are comfortable, stylish, and simple for a relaxing retreat by the sea. This impeccably designed hotel has a Scandi style to create a calming atmosphere and is filled with charming features throughout such as bay windows, high ceilings, and freestanding bathtubs. Birch is a community of like-minded people and a place for them to live, work, and play. You can recharge for a day, a night, or even a long weekend here, and it’s a great place if you want to switch off from the 9-5 and try something a bit different. Their rooms are fairly basic but this is because they want you to mingle with other people staying there, start conversations, and try out some of their courses. The restaurant, The Zebra Riding Club, is to die for, with such beautiful designs and furnishings and a fun menu. Centrally located and conveniently priced, The Pilgrm is a great place to base yourself for a night away in the city. Just a short walk from Paddington Station, the hotel is super easy to get to and navigate around London. They have multiple rooms available from £89 so whether you just want a bed for the night, or to splash out (but still within budget) you will definitely find a room for you. The hotel’s design is simple yet stylish, with indoor plants filling the reception and lounge, cosy furnishings, and fun decor filling the building. They also have a fabulous terrace that overlooks the street below and makes for the perfect place to watch the world go by while sipping a cocktail.

This stylish, cosy barn has been renovated into a luxurious home for two and is just a stroll away from the charming town of Ashburton. The Hayloft is a romantic getaway with little luxuries throughout, from their beautiful private outdoor terrace with views across the valley, a delightful standalone roll-top bath to soak away the day, and an honesty bar where you can discover some locally sourced drinks.
