A luxury Cornish staycation in Penzance to Chapel House

First Impressions

Turning up in Penzance on a rainy and very windy autumn day wasn’t the best first impression, however stepping into Chapel House turned my grey day, bright. The entrance is very grand with a sweeping staircase, whitewashed walls and flooring and the most beautiful curated artwork that adds splashes of colour and culture to the walls. Every room in the hotel is bright and airy and everywhere you turn you get glimpses out to sea. The hotel sits on the best street in Penzance, Chapel Street, which is full of wonderful home interior shops which makes it the perfect place to base yourself while away.

Interiors

Chapel House has been carefully restored to mix classic Georgian elegance with a contemporary twist. Expect to find interesting coffee table books, striking Cornish art and inviting interiors that fill each room to create a welcoming and warming atmosphere. The owner has carefully designed each room within the house with such great attention to detail that you can’t help but admire every corner of each room you enter. Some rooms have calm tones dotted around them, whereas others have vibrant and bold statement pieces which against the white walls and flooring make such a fun and different impact.
