A review of Fawsley Hall Spa

First Impressions

When I first found out that Fawsley Hall was renovating their spa, I knew I would love it and want to visit, so I made sure with a friend we visited the first moment we could. As soon as you drive to Fawsley Hall you are greeted like royalty with the stately home standing tall and proud around its grounds. The Spa is in a separate building from the hotel but it’s still a grand entrance. The staff were all very welcoming and provided us with cosy dressing gowns, flip flops, and even a little tester to start our spa day in style.

Spa Facilities

The spa has all the facilities and more you could want when visiting for a day. They have two types of Sauna’s, the classic one filled with wooden benches to lounge on and a slightly cooler Himalayan salt room. The room with Himalayan salt as walls was just breathtaking, and it’s also not as hot, so meant you could lay in their and breath in all the natural goodness. They have a classic steam room filled with blue lighting which creates a fun atmosphere too. They also have a Herbal Aromatic Heat Experience which smells divine. There is also the most stunning indoor swimming pool which is perfect for doing lengths or bobbing around in the water next to your lounger. Outside, they have a fabulous open-air hydro pool which is huge, meaning you haven’t got to fight for a place to relax in the bubbles.

Treatments

We decided to have a full body massage to start our day which was just what I needed. It meant I felt relaxed and recharged for the rest of the spa day as all my muscles were worked and treated. Before we headed home we treated ourselves to a wonderful new facial treatment that had instant dreamy effects. The Elemis BIOTEC facial uses the pioneering innovation of the BIOTEC machine to switch the skin back on, increasing its natural cellular energy and leaving you with glowy, soft, radiant skin. There are many other treatments to choose from, whether you want a manicure, pedicure, hot stone massage, or scrub or wrap.

Dining

They have a restaurant on site that provides you with different choices for meals and snacks during your spa day. It’s full of yummy treats, snacks, and drinks that you can enjoy throughout your stay. For lunch you can simply have a toasted sandwich or why not treat yourself to a sweet or savory afternoon tea or a Spa bento box which is full of delights such as Pomegranate, quinoa, black rice & ginger salad and mixed bean, chilli, lime crème fraiche wrap. We went for the afternoon tea to carry on the theme of indulging ourselves and it was delicious. The mixture of cakes and sandwiches was lovely and the scone with jam and cream was to die for.

Overall Impressions

The tranquil surroundings of Fawsley Hall spa create a calming environment in which you are able to completely revive the mind and body and totally unwind. Inside the building is full of contemporary design that creates a luxurious feeling and makes you relax as soon as you step through their doors. As the hotel is just a few steps away you can easily make a night of it and stay over too which is the perfect way to continue your retreat. I loved all the treatments I had and they all left me feeling serene, pampered, and indulged. I will definitely be heading back for another spa day soon and hopefully this time I will enjoy an overnight stay too.
